Soroptimist International of Pittsburg is a part of an international organization of business and professional women who provide volunteer service to their communities in order to improve the lives of women and girls in their local communities and throughout the world.
Soroptimist International has approximately 95,000 members in roughly 120 countries and territories across the globe.
The organization's major service project is the Women's Opportunity Award, which assists women by giving them the resources they need to improve their education, skills and job prospects.
